A Rotterdam funeral director has been arrested for drug trafficking. Police tracked down the man when they saw a hearse lying suspiciously low on the road. He was later found to have a drug lab in his funeral home.
Evelien Van Leeuwen ,writes about this. The arrest was made in May, but is only now coming to light. That month, the 38-year-old man was arrested on the A77 near Beugen, near the border with Germany. In his hearse, the police found 675 kilos of raw materials for the production of drugs.
In addition to the 38-year-old, a 50-year-old passenger was also arrested. He has since been released, but the funeral director remains in custody. The judge ruled that on Tuesday.
