Inflation rises slightly as fuel and food go up in price

By Markus Jansen Apr 3, 2024

The annual rate of inflation rose slightly to 3.1% in March, national statistics agency CBS said on Wednesday in a flash estimate.

In February, inflation was 2.8%.  The rise is largely down to higher prices for fuel and energy, as well as food and drink, the CBS said.

Calculated according to the European harmonized method, inflation was also 3.1% in March. The European system does not take the cost of rental housing into account.

The finalised figure for March will be published next week while the eurozone March inflation figures are out on Wednesday afternoon.

  1. I genuinely savored the work you’ve put forth here. The outline is refined, your authored material trendy, however, you seem to have obtained some trepidation about what you wish to deliver next. Assuredly, I will revisit more regularly, akin to I have nearly all the time, provided you maintain this upswing.
